The Lexicon name is one that’s associated to AV products that is high end, high performance in design but firmly entrenched in a price range that’s essentially affordable to a larger spectrum of the home entertainment market.
In this respect Lexicon’s RV-6 appears to meet all that is expected of a high end AV receiver.
Its general specification includes a seven channel output with each channel capable of generating up to 90 watts per channel, all channel driven into either 4 or 8 ohms.
At a two channel stereo mode the RV-6’s power output increases to 125watts per channel and all power output capability are achievable at no more than 0.2% Total Harmonics Distortion. Surround features include Dolby Atmos and DTS:X7.1 decoding backed up with the company’s proprietary Logic 7 Immersion natural sound up mixer.
In addition, the RV-6 also feature the Dirac Live room acoustics correction algorithm and Cirrus’s CS42528 DAC which is much sought after by serious audiophiles.
For those whose home entertainment system includes multiple sources the RV-6 comes equipped with up to 7 HDCP2.2 capable and 4K compatible HDMI inputs. There are 3 ARC compatible HDMI outputs.
A solid looking enclosure with an elegant, minimalistic aesthetics houses all the above features. It measures 433mm x 425mm x 171mm and weighs approximately 16kg.
For those who require just a little more power Lexicon also offers the RV-9 which features a unique Class G power amplifier driving up to 11 channels of output.
